1. EFFA-Open 2012 - International Flytying Championship

 

 

We are very happy to announce the 1. EFFA Open - International Flytying Championship. The contest will be arranged in co-operation with Aqua-Fisch, one of the largest European fishing fairs and our sponsors.

 

Categories:

 

• dry fly  (hook size 12)
• nymphe  (hook size 10)
• streamer  (hook size 6)

 

Participants may feel free in the choice of patterns they will hand in for the contest.

 

Jury:

The jury will consist of internationally well known fly tiers who will judge the flies during the Aqua-Fisch. The winners will be announced at site on Sunday, March 11, 2012.

 

Public Voting:

Independently from the decision of the professional jury there will also be a public vote at the fair. The visitors at site can vote for a fly out of all the flies sent in for the contest.

 

Prices:

Nice prizes of kind(fishing tackle, fly casting course, fly tying materials, ...), as well as medals and certificates for the first three of each category are waiting for them. Winners who will not be at site will get a written information  within two weeks after the end of the fair.

 

 

Entry Rules:

 

All fly tiers no matter of which nationality, age or profession can take part. Each participant can hand in only one pattern (but has to send two identical flies) per category. A participant does not have to hand in flies for all three categories esxept he wants to go for the main prize. The participation in the contest is free of charge!

 

All flies handed in for the contest will become a property of EFFA. Additional information and participation forms can be found on the website: http://www.effa.info/EFFA-Open.html .

 

Deadline:

All flies reaching the address after February 25, 2012(stamp) are not allowed to take part in the contest.
