Fly Fair will be held again in 2012, to be precise may 19 & 20. The theme of this fair will be ‘Back to the basics’. Surely we go back to where we came from. No more fancy fly dressing in colours we have never seen before neither understand, but tying the flies that catch fish. Real fishing flies. Flies all of us began with. Once.

No fancy casting toward rising fish half a mile away, or to unseen spots around the corner. With casts no one will ever be able to do, neither understand.

So what can you expect? Well: ofcourse we have the worlds best and most fancy fly tiers. We –again- asked the worlds most famous casters to come down. Tackle shops and wholesalers where you can see, feel, taste and buy the very best. We have various funny auctions, top food and the coolest drinks one can imagine. Be sure do not forget to bring your fishing gear and waders. For our‘ghillie service’ will take you, by boat,to the very best spots where you can wade and fish nymphs or dries for roach, dace, asp and rudd. Mind you, there’s also huge pike around. 

Is there more? Sure there is! What else can you expect from Fly Fair? Quite a bit but we keep some up our sleeve and tell you about that later.

EFFA-Netherlands will organize the EFFA Annual Meeting 2012 for all EFFA members at the Oostvoornse Lake near Rotterdam around the Pentecost weekend (May 26-28, 2012). So please reserve that weekend for the meeting. It would be great if many members would join. We have good memories from the last meeting there. I am sure this meeting will be even better.
