The Dutch FlyFair

Once again the guys from the Netherland pulled it off. The Duch Flyfair was a great success thanks to the hard working staff and the new location at Drontermeerdijk. It was of course Sinterclas that opened the fair together with Alice Conba, a wonderful Irish flydresser.

The EFFA was heavily involved at the fair with the guys from EFFA Netherlands organizing the casting demos and workshops. And we got two new instructors this weekend; Freddy van Oostenbrugge (NL) and Hartmut Zerrer. Congratulations!” T.R.

EFFA Weekend at Oostvoornse Meer

The Dutch department of EFFA held a weekend at the famous Oostvoornse Meer on the 17th and 18th of October. Inside and in front of restaurant De Stormvogel there were demonstrattions and workshops in fly casting and fly tying. Belly boats could be tried as well as new fly fishing equipment. Some 150 people .....

EFFA Neretva River meeting 2009

It was perfectly organized fly fishing event in Glavaticevo, Bosnia and Hercegovina! At famous Neretva River (home of softy mouth trout), local fishing society headed by its president Mr. Beso Niksic, gave us really the best to make this event one of the most successful in recent years! Main purpose of this event was our big vote from EFFA in regard of protecting and preserving natural treasure of beautiful Neretva River and its unique specimen - the softy trout.

EFFA at the Nordic Hunting and Fishing Festival

Not less than ten candidates attended the EFFA Basic flycasting instructor exams on 9 August in Elverum(Nor). The exam took place at the same location as last year. Fly Fair in Werkendam May 2008

On Saturday the 24 th and Sunday the 25 th a new Fly Fair was held at a very special location: Fort Altena at Werkendam. This old fortress dates back to 1840-1850 and was part of the Dutch ´waterlinie´ that was created to defend the heart of Holland . The fortress and the walls that belong to it have been rebuild recently. In the days up to the fair a lot of work and money was put into creating a Fly Fair atmosphere on the fortress....

Dutch EFFA Meeting in Schimmert(NL) 2007

The Dutch meeting in Schimmert ( Netherlands ) was a great success. In a beautiful surrounding of south Limburg we held this time our yearly meeting in the weekend from the 3 th till the 5 th of May. A special thanks from all of us to William van der Vorst and his team for the organisation. Most of us stayed at the Campsite Marevelt in Schimmert, this campsite has very good accommodation and a great lawn where William and his team build-up a large flycasting pool.
