Wooly Bugger

Martin Weidisch

Tying instructions

Probably the streamer of all streamers. With its diffuse silhouette, it imitates all sorts of things that move under water. This can be fish, dragonfly larvae, leeches, but also worms and crayfish. The Wooly Bugger is an allround pattern which has proven itself everywhere. This pattern can be used in fast mountain streams as well as in mountain lakes and reservoirs. The calmer the water, the more life you have to bring to the streamer by directing it with the fly rod. The black version is my absolute favorite. But it can also be tied in brown and olive.
