I was lucky enough to have a father who was usually on the lookout for some type of wild salmon or other type of fish. I grew up fishing for spring and fall salmon, summer grilse, sea trout and lough brown trout. Fishing took me to the various rivers, estuaries and loughs in Ireland with occasional trips to Scotland. I am an avid caster with both single and double handed rods. I have been a professional ghillie on the Moy system for thirty years, a qualified APGAI Casting Instructor and proud to now be a member of EFFA. I currently live in the Moy Valley in Foxford Co Mayo.
