I’ve been fishing for over 40 years; I took my first steps with fly fishing about 20 years ago. For the past 10 years, I’ve fished exclusively with flies. I spend every spare minute by the water or at my fly-tying station.
My passion was truly ignited by a caddis hatch, and luckily I had the right pattern in my box at the time. I got back into fly tying thanks to another incredible caddis hatch—only this time, I didn’t have the right pattern in my box...😁
For me, the best way to fish is with a dry fly for grayling on my home waters, the Wertach.
I owe a great deal to my mentor and buddy Peter Reiner and my friends Regina Maghuna, Franz Halla, Christian Kirchermeier, and Michael Neitzel, who have accompanied me on my journey to becoming a fly fisherman and fly tier.
I’ve been active with the EFFA. since last year and had the opportunity to tie flies at the trade shows in Friedrichshafen and Augsburg, and this year for the first time at the EWF
