Privacy policy of our website

This privacy policy explains how we or third parties collect and process personal data on our websites. Personal data is data that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person.

This data protection declaration refers in particular to the revised Data Protection Act (rDSG) including the associated Ordinance (DSV), which came into force in Switzerland on 1 September 2023.

Your data subject rights

According to DSGVO/GDPR (European Data Protection Regulation) Chapter 3 Article 13 and following (https://dsgvo-gesetz.de/) as well as the rDSG (Swiss Federal Data Protection Act) Chapter 4 Article 25 (https://www.fedlex.admin.ch/eli/cc/2022/491/de#chap_4) and following, you are entitled to these rights, among others:

  • Right to information - about the type of personal data stored by us
  • Right to rectification - of personal data held by us that is incorrect
  • Right of deletion - of your personal data stored by us
  • Restriction of processing - if your personal data cannot/should not be deleted
  • Right of objection - against the processing of your personal data
  • Data portability - You will receive your personal data in readable form as it is stored by us

You are not obliged to provide us with personal data, unless we need them with your express consent for the conclusion of contracts or services requested by you, which would not work without personal data.

Data processing purposes

We only process your personal data stored by us for the purposes stated in this data protection declaration. We do not share your personal information with third parties except:

  • You have given us your express consent to do so
  • the processing of a contract with you makes it necessary to
  • to fulfil legal obligations

We also process personal data if there is a legitimate interest in doing so and there is no reason to believe that you have a predominantly legitimate interest that your data not be processed or disclosed.

Collection of data during the visit of our websites

When you visit our websites, information about your web browser is automatically collected and stored. Among other things, the following information is collected: the web browser used, the operating system used, the domain name of the Internet service provider and other information of a general nature that does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about you as a person.

The exchange of this information is technically required in order to be able to correctly deliver the website content requested by you. The web server web browser exchange ensures the following, among other things:

  • Smooth connection of the website
  • Smooth use of the website
  • Evaluations for stability and safety

The analysis of this anonymous information is needed to optimise our websites and the associated technology.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are used on our websites. Cookies are small text files that are transferred from the web server to your web browser and stored on the hard disk. Cookies are used, among other things, to save settings you have made so that they can be automatically retrieved later. This includes, for example:

  • saving goods in the shopping cart
  • the saving of form contents
  • saving settings (e.g. language setting)
  • the storage of analysis data

You can prevent or restrict the use of cookies by making the appropriate settings in your web browser. If you do not allow cookies, certain functions may no longer work as expected/accustomed.

Registration for login

On our websites we offer extended services for registered users. Registration is voluntary and includes the following (but not exhaustive) personal data:

  • Name, first name
  • Login name
  • Password
  • E-mail
  • Address
  • Function
  • Telephone numbers
  • Signature

Where possible, you can edit or delete your personal data yourself. If this option is not available, you can ask us to adjust or delete your data at any time (insofar as this is legally permissible). To do so, use the contact details in the imprint or in the footer of our website.

Chargeable services and offers

In order to take advantage of our chargeable services and offers, it may be necessary for us to receive and process your payment details, such as credit card numbers. We only store this data for the purpose of fulfilling the order, and unless you request otherwise, this data will be deleted afterwards.

Secured websites with HTTPS

The transmission of data on our websites is partially encrypted. You can recognise an encrypted transmission by the HTTPS and a lock symbol in the web browser address bar (input bar). The encryption is intended to prevent the transmitted content from being read. Encryption methods are used that correspond to the current state of the art.

Newsletter

If you are interested in receiving one of our newsletters, you can register for it on our website. Registration involves a two-phase activation process, also known as double opt-in. After registration you will receive an e-mail to confirm your registration. Only after this e-mail confirmation are you activated as a recipient in our newsletter system.

During the double opt-in process, we collect and store the following data:

  • Your entered e-mail address
  • the date of confirmation
  • the status, registered - unsubscribed
  • any other data requested in the registration form
  • Newsletter channel (selected topic, where available)

We will inform you about the newsletter content and the number of newsletters sent when you register.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. For this purpose, a link for unsubscribing is placed in the footer of every newsletter e-mail. If this does not work, you can inform us of the cancellation by alternative means (telephone, e-mail).

Our newsletters contain visible and invisible image elements and links with which we measure the use of the newsletter. With these elements, we can determine which articles are of interest to you in order to better tailor our offer to you.

Contact form and e-mail

If you contact us via contact form or e-mail, we will receive your e-mail address and, if applicable, further information for the purpose of contacting you. We use this e-mail address for the purpose of processing the request and possible follow-up conversation. The e-mails and addresses remain stored on our computers for possible future contact. If you do not want your emails and address to remain on our computers, please let us know and we will remove them (where permitted by law).

YouTube videos

Videos from YouTube are embedded on some of our web pages. YouTube is a video portal and is used to play, rate and share videos. YouTube is a service of Google Inc (hereinafter referred to as Google).

If you visit a website on which a YouTube video is embedded, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. When you call up the page and play the video, cookies are set that provide YouTube with information about your surfing behaviour.

If you are also logged into your YouTube account, YouTube will assign the pages you visit to you personally in order to suggest interesting videos to you or to display advertising relevant to you. You can prevent this by logging out/logging out of your account beforehand.

Retention period of personal data

As long as it is necessary, we store and process your personal data. The duration depends on:

  • the duration of the entire business relationship
  • the contractual obligations
  • the legal obligation to keep records and documentation

If your personal data is no longer required for the above-mentioned purposes, it will be deleted as far as possible.

Amendment of this privacy policy

This privacy policy is continuously adapted to the current interpretations of the law and the changes in our services. The current version is indicated by the date at the beginning of this statement. The current version is always valid.
