Fly tying
Fly tying is for many fly anglers an inseparable part of fly fishing. To be able to catch a capital fish with a self-tied imitation represents the highest level of perfection for many fly anglers. Many well-known fly tyers with years of experience can be found among the members of EFFA. EFFA members can use the internal forum to improve their tying skills and get tips from the professionals. At the annual EFFA Open - the open, international fly tying championship - fly tyers from all over the world compete regardless of their profession, origin or age.

In the EFFA Flytying Department well-known fly tyers of the scene have come together. Our task is to promote and develop fly tying. We test materials, develop new tying techniques and exchange ideas with fly tyers from all over Europe. Another big concern is to make fly tying even more popular and to inspire many people for this hobby.

EFFA Open
In 2012, EFFA launched its open European fly tying championship. It became well known within a short time and also fly tyers on the other side of the Atlantic have entered the winner lists in the past.
